Nutcracker

Happy Christmas Eve to you all :) One last tidbit before Christmas gets here & passes me by. I managed to finish him up this morning. I know it's a bit late in the season to be making Christmas tags and things, but hopefully someone may like him and still be able to find a use for him.

Just wanted to also add that I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. Thank you for all the nice comments so many of you guys have left for me here, at 4shared, and via email. Always so very appreciated. :)

This one is a fairly small file size-wise, won't take very long to download at all I expect. He's taller than shown on the preview though - about 500px tall.

Curly Trees

Spent most of the day doing last-minute Christmas shopping, but I managed to get to play in PSP a little bit this afternoon. Just finished these and wanted to post them. Maybe some of you all will like them & be able to find a use for them. They're larger than shown on the preview - each is a bit over 300px tall, and they're in the same colors as my Christmas kit down below - red, green, gold, & silver.

You can click on the preview image below to see a larger copy. For some reason, regardless of what size I make the preview, it winds up looking smaller.

Christmas Angels

I made these this evening & wanted to get them posted before I headed off to bed for the night. There are the 6 as shown on the preview - 3 taller ones at a little over 300px tall & 3 of the shorter ones at around 260px tall. I hope some of you guys might like them and be able to find a use for them. :)

Some Christmas Tubes

And here are the mouse-drawn tubes I mentioned in my post yesterday. Hope someone can find a use for them. :)

Credit goes to Chelle/Teddy Bear Lane for her teddy bear tutorials hosted at PSP Playground. I did one of her tuts for making a different bear awhile back and learned how to make the critter look furry. This one in my post isn't from a specific tut of hers, but the technique I used is what I learned from her tuts. Thank you to Chelle for sharing her great tutorials. :)

Contents:
- Tree
- Poinsettia
- Mouse in Santa hat (same mouse as the ones in an earlier post - just drew him a hat)
- Teddy in Santa hat
- Teddy without the hat (not shown on the preview)
- Santa hat (not shown on the preview - same hat as the one on the teddy bear though)

Christmas Kit

Look! A new kit finally! lol Hope someone might like it & be able to find a use for it. Credit goes to Bluebird for her tutorial on making your own Christmas tinsel and glitter tiles & to Shawna for her Fuzzy Fibers tutorial and brushes - both of which I used for making the tinsel bits in my kit. Thank you to both of you ladies. :)

I've got a few more mouse-drawn tubes that are almost finished. They're not quite ready just yet, but I hope to get them uploaded tomorrow sometime.

Oh, and I got the comments fixed at 4shared so that anyone/everyone can leave a comment again. Just wanted to add a note of thanks for all the nice notes so many of you guys leave both there and here on my blog. I read & appreciate them all very much. :)

You can click on the preview image to see it a bit larger. For some reason, the limit on the preview size shown below is 400x400px even though I saved it at 600x600.

Contents:
- 8 papers (600x600px)
- 4 tinsel garlands (700px)
- 4 round tinsel frames
- holly accent & holly ribbon
- tinsel corner
- 6 ornaments

Treasured Friend Award

What a treat! I'm always behind anymore so I'm a bit slower finding Bluebird's note for me than I should have been. If you've never checked out her blog before, be sure to take a peek! Actually, one of the things I've been making for my Christmas kit (which is still in-progress - wonder if I'll finish it before the holiday? lol) comes from a tinsel tutorial she shared on her blog. Thank you very much for the award, Bluebird. :)

And now to pass it along to 5 other blogs:

- The PoshBox Scraps

- Honored Scraps

- Kissed By Pix

- Lillie's Lair

I know that's only 4 friends' blogs, but I'm not having any luck finding a 5th one which hasn't already received it. So I guess I'll just leave it at four.

Quick note about 4shared

Just a really short & quick note this evening.

I hadn't realized that 4shared had changed the way comments were handled on the download links. They had changed something to where the only people who could comment were ones with 4shared accounts. I think I've gotten it set now to where anyone at all can leave a comment again. A couple of folks had contacted me to let me know of the change at 4shared, otherwise I still would've been in the dark. Thanks to those who let me know. :)

Hope everyone is having a nice week so far, and hope my next post will actually be a goodie rather than just a note. :)

Santa Claus

Figured I needed to make a Santa to go with Rudy, so here he is. There are two images in this zip - one is the full body image, second one is just Santa's head. Both are larger than shown on the preview. The full Santa image is 399px tall, and the face image is 277px tall. Hope someone will like him & be able to use him somehow. :)

Rudy the Chubby Reindeer

Another new Christmasy mouse-drawn tube by me tonight. Seems like I can't really get a kit together all at once, so I guess I'll just keep uploading these as smaller bits as I get them finished. I am working on a Christmas kit though and have a few things made for it, but I keep getting sidetracked drawing these images I've posted this past week. He's a chubby little fella. All my critters seem to turn out chubby for some reason. lol He's bigger than shown on the preview - actual size is 405px tall. Anyway, I hope someone might like him enough to do something with him. :)

Christmas Mice

I started working on these over the weekend, got them finished up and the preview made this morning. Figured I might as well get them posted to share since I had a bit of time this morning while I'm playing hookie from work. I have to go today for one of my last things to do with the immigration process, but my appointment isn't until 10:00. So I had a little bit of time to kill.

I also updated my TOU this morning to include a specific note for taggers and how to credit me if you want or need to. I hope it made sense, but as always, any questions, just give me a yell. :)

Finally, just a note about the sizes of these. They aren't relative in size - the mice are bigger in relation to the clock. The clock is about 400px tall, and the mice are about 200px tall. I left the mice larger though in case anyone might want to use those by themselves, separate from the clock, but hopefully not so big that they get distorted if resized down to use with the clock.

Contents:
- 2 mice (one sleepy & one awake)
- Grandfather clock
- 1 wordart

Ginger Kids

Well, I've been pretty scarce for awhile, huh? I started back to work fulltime at the end of October. I'm slowly settling into my new routine I think. I don't have nearly the amount of computer and PSP-playtime that I had a month ago, but I still enjoy making these bits and kits. So I hope I'll be able to update with new freebies at least every few weeks.

Someone had left me a comment about including my TOU as a text file in the zips. I hadn't even thought of doing that, but I did with this one. Thanks for the suggestion - just sorry that I can't remember who it was to be able to thank you personally. Anyway, hope someone might like these and be able to find a use for them. :)

Painted Owl

This is something I drew & painted in PSP last year and had originally posted to share on my deviantart account. I've been seeing owls popping up here and there in different kits and thought he might fit in with my Fall kit. So I decided to move him over to share here too, just in case anyone could find a use for him. I gave him a few minor touch-ups in a few places I saw where the color wasn't as solid as it should've been. The image is a little bit bigger than shown on the preview below, too. Anyway, hope someone might like it & be able to use it somehow. :)

Corny Candy 3

Don't most Halloween horror movies come in threes? lol Here's a third set of the candy cornies. I didn't think the ghost (with the beanie) that was in the first set really looked very ghost-like, so I made another couple of ghosts for this set. There's also a devil (thanks to a suggestion from Mike), a skull, and a candy apple as well. I think I really am out of ideas for any others of these now so this will probably be the end of them. Hope someone can find a use for these. :)

If anyone has suggestions for any others, feel free to leave me a comment. I'm all out of ideas, but if anyone else has one, I'd love to hear it.

Corny Candy 2

So this is what I did today instead of doing some of the tons of other stuff I probably should've been doing. lol Here's 6 more of these Halloween candy corn critters - including a witch, a cat, a bat, a mummy, a punkin, and a bride for Frank. I think I'm out of ideas for any others to make so this may be the end of 'em. If anyone has an idea for another one to include, feel free to let me know. No guarantees I could do it, but I'm always open to ideas. Anyway, hope someone might like them and be able to find a use for them. :)

Corny Candy

Definitely corny I guess, but maybe someone will like them or be able to put them to some use. I did a tutorial yesterday I guess it was for the Frankie one and decided to try making a few more Halloween-themed ones to go with him. This set has a ghost (with the beanie lol), a candy corn, a wolfman, and a vampire in addition to Frank. I've got ideas for another second set to go with this first round, but that'll probably be a day or two away - so maybe another 3-4 images I want to try yet. Hopefully the ideas I've got in my head will cooperate with PSP and turn out.

Anyway, each image is saved as an individual file, and they're larger than shown on the preview. Hope someone will like them and find a use for them. :)

Fall Add-On 2

Yep, a few more flowers to go with the Fall kit. I liked the colors of the flowers in the last add-on and was still playing around with them some more. These 4 were the result of my tinkering. Figured I might as well post them in case anyone would want them or be able to use them. :)

Thanksgiving Turkey

Good morning :) I drew this little guy this morning & wanted to get him posted to share since next Monday is Thanksgiving Day here in Canada. I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of vectors and node editing - sure has taken me a long time to figure it out though. lol

It's sort of another add-on to the Fall Kit - similar colors and everything, so I think he'd go with that kit alright if you wanted to use him as part of a kit. He's shown at full-size on the preview image, and the image in the zip at the download link below is saved as a .png file so I hope that'll work for anyone wanting to download & use it. Hope someone will like him and be able to find a use for him. :)

Fall Add-On

I wanted to get something new posted in honor of the new blog design so that I could show it off. lol So, I made these bits last night to go with the Fall kit I shared a couple of weeks ago. I hope someone might like them & be able to find a use for them. :)

Contents:
- 2 oval frames
- 1 square frame
- 2 flowers
- 1 flower cluster

Fall Kit

Here's a new kit finally. I managed to draw a few things for this kit, too. Not everything in the kit is shown on the preview - at least individually. There are 5 different leaves that I drew which aren't shown as individual bits on the preview, but those are what I used to make the frames and the deco bits as well as one of the papers. There's an acorn as well as an apple which aren't shown individually either.

The papers are shown on a second preview image below. It just was way too busy with everything clumped together on a single image. The papers and ribbons are a bit larger than I generally make. If anyone has a preference for sizes, please let me know. Generally I make the papers at 500x500 and the ribbons at 600 px long. This time they're both slightly larger.

I just realized that the preview for the papers only shows 9 rather than 10 different ones. There really are 10 papers in the zip. I just missed one when I made the preview last night. lol The one missing from the preview is the leaf patterned one - it looks like the middle of the leaf ribbon.

Edit: I fixed the below preview image for the papers. If you download the zip though, it's still got the old incorrect preview inside. Just didn't want to delete it and have to reupload it.

Contents:
- 10 papers (600x600 px)
- 3 ribbons (700 px long)
- 3 deco bits (inc. line of apples, line of leaves, & leaf bunch w/acorns)
- 2 frames (1 oval & 1 square)
- 3 buttons
- 3 leaf-shaped lined tags
- 1 wordart
- 9 objects drawn by me (inc. acorn, apple, empty basket, basket w/apples, & 5 different leaves)

Back To School Add-On & Note

I had the idea to include the glue and scissors in with the kit when I posted it last week, but although I started them several times, I couldn't get them to look right. Finally finished them up this morning & wanted to get them uploaded. I hope someone can find a use for them. :)

I also wanted to thank everyone who leaves me such nice comments both here and at 4shared when you guys download these things. I'd posted a thanks several days back, but I posted several times that day. It kind of got buried. I just wanted you all to know I read and appreciate every one of them. :)

Back To School Kit

As promised, here's a new kit! I think I'm finally getting the hang of the node editing for the vector shapes, and I managed to draw a few things to include with this kit. I was tickled with how the bus turned out. lol Hope someone can use it. :)

Contents:
- 6 papers (500x500 px)
- 6 ricrack (600 px long)
- 6 bows
- 2 frames
- 2 wordart
- 6 objects drawn by me from scratch (including apple, backpack, bus, crayon, pencil, & ruler)

Thank you :)

I'm trying to get caught up this evening. I have a new kit to share that I hope I'll be able to post in the morning. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has left such nice notes both here on my blog as well as at 4shared when downloading my scrappy bits. I have fun making these things, but it's a treat for me to know you like the stuff I've made. I hope you've been able to find uses for some of my bits. I also wanted to thank Maria at DigiFree for finding and including me in her digital scrapbooking freebie search engine.

One last note - a few folks have asked me about my terms of use. I hadn't even thought about needing to do that until I was asked, but I hope I'll get those posted in the morning as well. I expect they'll be pretty simple and basic.

Good night, and thank you again for all the really thoughtful and kind notes so many of you guys have left for me. They're all very much appreciated. :) New kit coming tomorrow if all goes as planned!

I've been tagged!

Pix from KissedByPix has tagged me! Well, I was tagged on July 30th. Needless to say, I'm a bit behind, but seems like that's my typical state anymore. lol Thanks, Pix. Sorry I'm so late in getting here to see the note & update my blog.

These are the rules:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

And my 7 random & weird facts:
1. I'm originally from Kentucky but in the final stages of immigrating to Canada.
2. I'm nuts about penguins - I think I have some kind of fascination with black & white animals. Pandas and skunks are another couple of animals I think are too cute.
3. Speaking of black & white animals, we've got one cat named Fred who's black & white, too. lol And he has 6 toes on each foot.
4. I can't eat raw tomatoes at all. Cooked, I'm fine - raw, no way.
5. Playing the original The Sims game is what got me hooked on PSP. I wanted to learn how to create my own objects for the game. I got sidetracked somewhere along the way and never did make any game objects.
6. Fall is my favorite season.
7. I love playing video games. I'm currently playing Final Fantasy XII.

Hope those were random and weird enough. lol I'm supposed to tag 7 other people, but I really don't know who to tag that hasn't already been tagged. So, I'll just leave it open here to anyone who might want to comment and add their own 7 bits of randomness. :)

Butterflies & Frame

I was playing with some gradients and made these butterflies this afternoon. Thought I'd post them in case anyone might like them or be able to use them for something. The vine-wrapped frame was the result of a project I'm working on for my sister. That project isn't coming along very well lol, but at least it resulted in a neat frame. The butterflies aren't attached to the frame - everything is separate. I just went ahead and added the frame to this post because I didn't really have anything else with which to include it right now.

Contents:
- 5 butterflies
- 1 frame

Lacey Kit

Finally something new. I've been working on another bit since my last post, but it's not moving along really. I may just toss it as far as making a full kit out of it and just post what I've made so far as a mini-bit. I finished this one up last night and finally got a preview made this morning. Hope someone will like it and be able to use it for something. :)

Contents:
- 10 papers (500 x 500px)
- 6 ribbons (600 px long)
- 2 frames
- 4 flowers
- 2 doilies
- 4 buttons
- 1 lacey butterfly
- 4 bows
- 8 accents (not all are shown on the preview)

Blooms Add-On

I was playing in PSP tonight and made these little bits. I was still using the same colors from the Blooms kit below so these should work just fine with that kit. The links between the beads do have a bit of shine/glitter to them that isn't showing up very well on the preview image below. Hope someone might like these and be able to use them for something. :)

Contents:
- 4 flowers
- 4 strings of beads

Sharing older kits of mine

When I posted the Happy 4th kit, I mentioned that it was the fourth one I'd done. I thought I'd post the 3 previous ones here as well in case anyone might like or want them. Thought it would be neat to have them all in one place, sort of as a reference for myself if nothing else. I hope as I keep playing and tinkering in PSP making these things that I'll get better as I go along. The Valentine kit was the 1st I ever attempted, the Blues kit was 2nd, and the Beach kit was 3rd.

These are all tag-sized kits. The papers are all sized at 500x500px, but the lengths of the ribbons vary between these kits. Some range up to 700px long in the Valentine kit down to just over 500px long in the Blues kit. I'm trying to be more consistent with the sizing of the ribbons, ricrac, and laces now. I hope someone might like these and be able to use them for something. :)

The download link for each kit as well as a content listing for each is below the respective preview image.

Contents: 3 accents, 6 buttons, 1 frame, 4 papers, 7 ribbons, & 2 wordart

Blooms Kit

I just finished this one tonight. It took me forever to get the preview made for this one. I'm still not real thrilled with the preview though. Some of the papers look like they're just solid colors, but they do have a texture to them - not just plain flat solids. Hope someone will like this one and be able to use it for something. :)

It's tag-sized. The papers are 500x500 px, and the ribbons are 600px long. Everything is bigger than shown on the preview, too.

Contents:
- 17 papers
- 10 ribbons
- 4 frames
- 5 bows
- 5 buttons
- 6 flowers

Happy 4th Add-On 2

I'm still playing with the same color palette I used for the Happy 4th kit. I wanted to try making some flowers so here's another add-on bit to match that kit. Hope someone will like & be able to use them. :)
